Sophie and Alex first contacted me a little over two months before their big day. They had originally asked a family friend to lead their wedding ceremony at the gorgeous Blackstock Estate, and it wasn’t quite panning out how they had hoped. Understandably they were a little unsettled by the situation they found themselves in, but they were making the brave choice to change their plans. They needed someone who was going to listen to what they wanted for their ceremony and someone who had the experience and ability to pull it all together and deliver it professionally.
We arranged an enquiry call and we immediately got on – they are such a lovely couple, and I could totally understand what it was that they wanted to achieve for their ceremony. They wanted something personal, warm and fun but fairly traditional in format.
"A last minute change of plan meant we contacted Beth in a bit of a panic. She almost immediately put us at ease with her professional and friendly manner."

The ceremony itself put the couple front and center, celebrating them, their story and their union. Both keen music fans (they love dancing in fields together at festivals!), they had chosen lots of great tracks to punctuate moments within the ceremony and both of them chose to walk down the aisle. First up, Alex walked down with his Mum – a lovely moment to really honour their relationship. He was followed by his groomsmen before a change in music signaled the entrance of the bridal party. Sophie followed her gorgeous bridesmaids down the aisle, proudly escorted by her Dad.
The wording of the ceremony was focused on the love and connection between this pair and they chose some wonderful poems to complement this perfectly.
The couple wrote meaningful vows which I helped them to craft, ensuring that they echoed each other in length and tone. They both really honed in on what they wanted to promise to each other in married life together and peppered them with a little bit of light humour too…the perfect combination to ensure that there wasn’t a dry eye amongst their friends and family!
The result was a ceremony that had all the elements that they wanted to include, professionally delivered. The worry and uncertainty was taken away and they were able to relax and enjoy their day. My hope is that by the time their day arrived, they felt comfortable enough with me that I felt like a friend...but with the experience and training to pull off their dream wedding ceremony.
“We couldn’t have been happier with our decision to go with Beth as our celebrant. She really got to know our story and what was important to us to deliver a very special celebrant-led ceremony. So many of our guests commented on how brilliant Beth was and she allowed us to have the wedding we’d always dreamed about.”
