I am an experienced funeral celebrant based just north of Brighton in Hurstpierpoint, Sussex. I create personal and meaningful funerals to truly honour the life of your loved one. I enable families to have ceremonies which are full of the very essence of their person; written and delivered with kindness at the heart.
I understand that this is a very difficult time for you; let me reduce the burden by guiding you through the process of creating a meaningful, personal and fitting farewell for your loved one.
Contact me, either directly or via your Funeral Director and I will meet with you and take the time to understand you, your loved one and what your hopes are for the funeral. That may be a more traditional funeral at a crematorium, a memorial, interment of ashes or a celebration of life.
You may know exactly what you would like, or you may feel totally overwhelmed with the thought of organising someone's final farewell. I am here to help support and guide you, following our meeting you will feel confident and reassured. I will provide a safe space and total flexibility to ensure that whatever choices you make, we create the best possible ceremony for your loved one. On the day of the ceremony you will feel compassionately supported as I lead you in saying your final farewell.

If you are planning your own funeral, to take the stress away from your family when you are gone, then I am here to help with this too. There are many reasons why someone finds themselves in this position and we will work together to consider all of your hopes, fears and ideas for your final farewell. We can create a ceremony which says all of the things that you may not otherwise feel able to. You may even wish to create a celebration of life which you can attend - this is possible too!
HOW IT WORKS
If I am the right fit for you, then ultimately it is no longer about me, it is about you and your loved one.
Planning a funeral can feel totally overwhelming; you may or may not have discussed with your person any wishes they had, but trying to piece everything together while you are dealing with your own emotions is very tricky. Go easy on yourself.
There shouldn't be a 'one size fits all approach' to planning a ceremony; we are all different and therefore every funeral should be unique, to reflect the personality of the deceased. However you choose to mark the death of a loved one, it is a part of your grieving process and it is very important.
You may wish to have a more traditional ceremony with a cremation, or prefer to separate these elements and hold the ceremony elsewhere (the choice of venues is endless). There may be elements of faith that you wish to include, or other passions of the deceased. I will work with you, and your Funeral Director (if you have one) to consider your choices and create and deliver the send off that your loved one deserves.
I will provide support and flexibility to guide you through what can be a very difficult time.
